đź“‹ Licensing and Regulations in Illinois

This means we strictly comply with all health, safety, criminal background check, and training requirements set by the Department of Children and Family Services (Illinois DCFS). Our official license and more than 25 years of impeccable service ensure that your child is in a carefully regulated, supervised, and safe environment.

As a licensed family child care home in Illinois, we keep our groups very small. This allows us to legally guarantee personalized and loving care, ensuring that each child receives the individualized care, supervision, and love they deserve, while respecting the age limits permitted by the state.

Our daily schedule includes: arrival and breakfast (7–9 AM), learning and play activities (9–11 AM), MyPlate lunch (11 AM–12 PM), nap/quiet time (12–3 PM), snack, and pickup (3–6 PM). Everything is structured to promote holistic development.

We respect each child’s individual needs. Babies and toddlers have nap schedules tailored to their age and developmental stage. The home-like environment allows us to adapt routines without being rigid.

đź’° Financial Assistance and Grants

Yes, we accept the CCAP program administered through Illinois Action for Children. We firmly believe that a high-quality bilingual education should be accessible to working families in Chicago. If you need help with the application process or renewing your benefits, we’ll walk you through the paperwork step by step.

🍎 Nutrition and Health

Yes, we provide all daily meals and snacks at no additional cost. We actively participate in the Illinois Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), which ensures that our menus are well-balanced, nutritious, and approved by state nutritionists to support your child’s healthy growth.

In accordance with Illinois state health laws, all enrolled children must submit a current official physical examination form and an up-to-date immunization record. This helps us keep our entire small school community protected against preventable diseases.

🧸 Daily Routine and Bilingual Approach

Children's brains learn naturally when they're having fun. We don’t force boring grammar lessons; instead, Spanish and English flow organically through songs, traditional stories, role-playing, and building blocks. Your child will learn to communicate in two languages while exploring, laughing, and discovering the world at their own pace.

It’s the perfect setting! Children are like linguistic sponges. Our environment is extremely supportive and patient; we use gestures, visual aids, and plenty of affection to ensure the transition is natural and frustration-free. In no time at all, you’ll notice how they understand and respond with complete fluency in both languages.

🚪 Safety and Visits

To protect the routine, privacy, and safety of the children already in our care, visits to our home are strictly by appointment only, outside of regular business hours or during nap time. Space is limited due to our licensing restrictions, so we recommend that you schedule your interview in advance.

We maintain low staff-to-child ratios (1:4 for infants) to meet Illinois’s highest standards. Don’t wait until tomorrow to find a safe place for your child to grow up.
